Chocolate Peanut No Bake Banana Boats
Good morning everyone! Today, I am so excited to share my insanely simple chocolate peanut no bake banana boats recipe with all of you! It is Sunday morning right now (as I am typing this blog post up), and the post will be live in just a few days. I made these banana boats a couple of days ago, and I am already excited to make them again.
This recipe is super easy to make and the banana boats taste delicious. With just three simple ingredients, this recipe is also very budget friendly. You guys know by now that I love a recipe that’s easy, cheap, and delicious. Another thing that I love about this banana boats recipe is that it comes together really quickly and requires no baking. The combination of sweet, ripe bananas, melted chocolate, and crunchy roasted peanuts pairs together perfectly.
If you like sweet and salty flavor combos, you will probably enjoy this snack. Plus, you can even add a bit of sea salt on top of your banana boats for an even stronger sweet and salty flavor combo. But, enough on that. Let’s take a look at a few quick things to note for this recipe. Then, we will go through the full list of ingredients you will need to make these easy chocolate peanut banana boats.
How Ripe Should the Bananas be for this Recipe?
The first important note I want to discuss about this recipe is how ripe the bananas should be. For optimal flavor and sweetness, you will want to use ripe or overripe bananas for this recipe. If your banana peels are yellow with some brown spots, then the bananas are probably perfect for this recipe. Just make sure the bananas aren’t overly mushy. If they are, then you might want to use them to make banana bread or an oatmeal bake instead. Now that we have covered that, let’s take a look at the full list of ingredients you will need to make these delicious chocolate peanut banana boats. As I already mentioned, the list is short and sweet.
Chocolate Peanut No Bake Banana Boats – Ingredients
- Ripe/Overripe Bananas – The first essential ingredient you will need for this recipe is a ripe or overripe banana. You will want the peel of your banana to be yellow with brown spots for optimal flavor and sweetness. However, make sure that your banana is not mushy. If you want to double this recipe, simply grab two ripe bananas and double the amounts for the other ingredients as well.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips – The chocolate chips are another ingredient that you need to make these banana boats. They will be melted and used as a spread to top off your banana boats with. The chocolate spread will provide a sweet and decadent chocolate flavor. Alternatively, you could use dark chocolate chips for the chocolate spread. Keep in mind that if you use dark chocolate, the chocolate spread will be slightly less sweet.
- Roasted Peanuts – The roasted peanuts will be chopped up and added on top of the melted chocolate for a delicious chocolate peanut flavor combination. When you add in the sweetness of the ripe banana, you have the perfect blend of sweet and salty flavors. If you don’t have peanuts on hand, you can also sub peanut butter (crunchy or creamy peanut butter will work).
- (Optional) Sea Salt – The sea salt is an optional final ingredient that you can add on top of your banana boats for an extra strong sweet and salty flavor combination. If you want to get really fancy, you could use flaky salt. I used Himalayan pink salt on top of my banana boats.

Notes

I can’t wait for you all to try it out! You can eat your banana boats right away while the chocolate is still warm and melted. Or, you can refrigerate your banana boats to allow the chocolate to harden. This recipe is best enjoyed on the day it is made, as bananas do get brown and mushy pretty quickly. Anyway, that’s it for this recipe. As per usual, I will be back with more content very soon.
