Chocolate chips are a given, but you can also add your favorite chopped nuts, a drizzle of nut butter, a melted chocolate drizzle, or anything else that you’d like.

Plus, the no churn method makes this recipe insanely easy. By using some frozen banana chunks, a mini food processor, and a few other key ingredients, you can create an ultra thick and creamy banana ice cream in just minutes. In addition to that, you will need some cocoa powder and chocolate chips for that rich chocolate flavor, a source of sweetness, and some non-dairy milk to aid blending.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium ripe banana (frozen in chunks)
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 2 tsp non-dairy milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp vegan chocolate chips (I used mini semi-sweet chocolate chips)
  • optional toppings (nuts, nut butter, sprinkles, etc.)

Instructions
 

  • Add the frozen bananas, cocoa powder, non-dairy milk, and pure maple syrup to a high speed food processor.
  • Blend all ingredients for a few minutes until a smooth and creamy consistency is achieved, stopping to move the mixture around as necessary to aid blending.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a serving dish.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of your ice cream.
