- 1 can chickpeas (1 can = 15.5 oz.)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp tahini (I used Trader Joe's brand)
- 1/4 cup chickpea liquid
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- salt to taste
Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly, saving 1/4 cup of the chickpea liquid to use in the hummus.
Add the chickpeas, chickpea liquid, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, tahini, olive oil, and lemon juice to a high speed blender.
Blend for a few minutes until a smooth and creamy consistency is achieved.
Add salt to taste.
Transfer the hummus to a serving dish.
Dig in and enjoy!
