Best of all, this brownie banana bread bakes in the microwave in just over one minute, and it is both vegan and gluten free.
So, without further ado, let’s jump into a few quick things to note for this recipe. Then, I will go over all the ingredients you will need to make this recipe a smashing success!

Making chocolate brownie banana bread is, in my opinion, much less complicated than it sounds. Essentially, you start with many of the same base ingredients that you would if you were going to make a classic loaf of banana bread. The twist is that you want a moister batter and some chocolate elements (cocoa powder and chocolate chips).
To get that ultra fudgy texture, you want a nice and moist batter, which we achieve in this recipe through the use of the mashed banana, pure maple syrup, and nut milk.

Easy Vegan Brownie Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oat flour
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate chunks)
- 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder (I used Hershey's special dark)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 medium overripe banana
- 3 – 4 tsp nut milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, thoroughly mash the banana.
- Add in the pure maple syrup and nut milk, then mix well to combine.
- Add the oat flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then mix again.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie banana bread batter into a microwave safe mug or ramekin.
- Top the batter with a few more chocolate chips if desired.
- Pop the banana bread in the microwave to cook for about 75 seconds.
- Let cool, then dig in and enjoy!
