Easy Stovetop Apple Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium granny smith apples
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Peel and core the granny smith apples.
  • Cut the apples into smaller wedges.
  • Place the apples in a pot with the water and apple cider vinegar.
  • Simmer the apple mixture partially covered until soft, about 20 minutes.
  • Let the apple mixture cool off for a few minutes
  • Place the apple mixture in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Transfer the apple mixture back into the pot.
  • Add the sugar, spices, and pure vanilla extract.
  • Simmer the apple mixture for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Let the apple butter cool, then transfer it into an airtight container.
  • Dig in and enjoy!
