Add the yeast and water to a large mixing bowl.
Let the mixture sit for five minutes to bubble/foam up.
Add the salt, olive oil, pure maple syrup, whole wheat flour, and 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour to the yeast and water mixture.
Mix all ingredients together to form a smooth, slightly sticky dough ball.
Lightly flour a smooth surface.
Knead the dough for five minutes, adding the remaining flour slowly and as needed to prevent sticking.
Shape the dough ball into a loaf and place it in a greased 9” x 5” loaf pan.
Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for about two hours.
Preheat the ovent to 350°F.
Bake the bread for about 35 - 40 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the top is golden brown.
Let the bread loaf cool completely.
Cut the bread loaf into twelve slices.
Dig in and enjoy your bread with whatever toppings you'd like!
