Easy Homemade Bread with Yeast

Easy, quick, and tasty homemade bread made with a blend of flours and instant yeast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan pink salt

Instructions
 

  • Add the yeast and water to a large mixing bowl.
  • Let the mixture sit for five minutes to bubble/foam up.
  • Add the salt, olive oil, pure maple syrup, whole wheat flour, and 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour to the yeast and water mixture.
  • Mix all ingredients together to form a smooth, slightly sticky dough ball.
  • Lightly flour a smooth surface.
  • Knead the dough for five minutes, adding the remaining flour slowly and as needed to prevent sticking. 
  • Shape the dough ball into a loaf and place it in a greased  9” x 5” loaf pan.

  • Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for about two hours.
  • Preheat the ovent to 350°F.
  • Bake the bread for about 35 - 40 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the bread loaf cool completely.
  • Cut the bread loaf into twelve slices.
