Creamy Snickerdoodle Dessert Hummus

A subtly sweet dessert hummus with a light snickerdoodle taste and a chickpea base for optimal health benefits and flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can garbanzo beans (15 oz, drained and rinsed thoroughly)
  • 3 pitted medjool dates
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp almond milk (I used unsweetened vanilla)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup (or more to taste for extra sweetness)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Soak dates in warm water for about 5 minutes to soften.
  • Add all ingredients to a food processor.

  • Blend until a smooth consistency is achieved, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides if necessary to aid blending.

  • Transfer mixture to a bowl and refrigerate overnight to chill. This hummus tastes so much better after it has time to set!
  • Serve up with graham crackers, pretzels, fresh fruit, or whatever else you'd like!
