Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used mini chocolate chips)
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder (I used Hershey's special dark)
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp nut milk (I used unsweetened cashew milk)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup (plus more for topping)
  • nut butter (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

  • Add the oats and cocoa powder to a microwave safe dish.
  • Mix the dry ingredients well to combine.
  • Add the nut milk, applesauce and pure maple syrup, then mix again.
  • Microwave the oatmeal for 90 seconds.
  • Give the oatmeal a good stir.

  • Top the oatmeal with optional nut butter of choice, the chocolate chips, and a drizzle of pure maple syrup.
