Strawberry Baked Oatmeal Skillet Recipe

Good morning everyone! Today, I am so incredibly excited to share a delicious oatmeal recipe with all of you. Also, you might have noticed that I have a new blog design and layout! I have worked very hard on it for the past couple of weeks during the early morning and late evening hours. With that being said, I hope you all like the new layout and find my blog easier to navigate from here on out.

I decided to switch to WordPress, and I am already in love with all of the capabilities and customizations it seems to have. I am sure that it will take me a little while to get used to, but it already seems like the perfect platform to grow my blog on.

Anyway, enough on the blog design stuff. Let’s talk oatmeal. I woke up at 5:30 this morning eager and ready to work on this blog post. Why? Because this strawberry baked oatmeal skillet is one of my new favorite breakfast recipes. It is insanely easy to make, budget friendly, and it tastes delicious. I love baked oatmeal recipes in general, but this one is truly unique. I really think you guys are going to love it.

So, let’s dive into a few quick things to note for this recipe. Then, we will go over the list of ingredients you will need to make this strawberry baked oatmeal skillet a smashing success!

Can You Make Oatmeal In A Cast Iron Skillet?

Yes, you can absolutely bake oatmeal in a cast iron skillet! As long as the skillet you are using is oven safe, you are good to go. Keep in mind that the skillet will be extremely hot when it comes out of the oven, so be sure to use an oven mit to remove the skillet from the oven. Also, you’ll want to transfer your oatmeal to another serving dish or let the skillet cool completely before enjoying your baked oats. Other than that, you simply have to pour your oat mixture into the skillet like you would any other oven safe when baking oatmeal in the oven. It’s as simple as that!

Now that we have covered a few quick things to note for this recipe, let’s take a look at all of the ingredients you will need to make this strawberry baked oatmeal skillet.

Strawberry Baked Oatmeal Skillet Recipe – Ingredients

  • Quick Cooking Oats – The first ingredient you will need for this recipe is the quick cooking oats. I personally love using quick oats in baked oat recipes. If you want to make this recipe gluten free, use your favorite gluten free oats.
  • Fresh Strawberries – The next ingredient you will need for this recipe are some fresh strawberries. You will be mashing them up and mixing them in with the rest of your baked oatmeal ingredients. That way, you will get some delicious strawberry flavor and sweetness in every single bite. Make sure your berries are fresh and sweet for optimal flavor.
  • Cinnamon – Cinnamon is a key spice which adds additional flavor to your baked oatmeal. A little bit goes a long way.
  • Nut Milk – Another key ingredient you will want for this strawberry baked oatmeal skillet is the nut milk. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but you can use whichever kind you have on hand or prefer. This ingredient adds creaminess and moisture to your baked oatmeal.
  • Peanut Butter The creamy peanut butter is a key topping for your oatmeal which adds a ton of flavor, richness, and a source of fat for increased satiety. I absolutely love putting peanut butter on top of my oatmeal, and this recipe is no exception.
  • Pure Maple Syrup – The final ingredient you will need for this recipe is the pure maple syrup. The pure maple syrup adds flavor and sweetness to your baked oatmeal. You can also drizzle some more on top of your oatmeal once it’s done baking for additional sweetness.
